I’m sure there are people reading this that have felt they have wasted the best years of their lives. If you could go back and do it all again knowing what you know now, you would do things so differently. Maybe the season of sin lasted much longer than you intended and you wish you hadn’t given in to that temptation to experiment with drugs or alcohol or pornography. The thing about sin Beloved is that it always takes you farther than you want to go and keeps you there longer than you want to stay.
Perhaps your the one who wasted the opportunities and blessings God put before you and now you look back and say “if only.” The enemy is quick to whisper ” your getting older now and the window of fulfilling Gods purpose for your life is over.” NO, NO, a thousand times NO! That is a lie from the pit of hell and you don’t have to receive it or believe it.
Gods plan for your life is still the same today as it was before the foundation of this world. “For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
God can give you back the years you have lost due to sin, apathy, sickness and the list goes on and on. But how can you get the years back you might be asking. Here is the answer in Joel 2:25 (KJV) “and I will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten.” You see locusts destroy everything in their path. Its a good word to describe what the enemy try’s to do in the life of a believer. But our God is a restorer of broken wasted lives. In Job 42:12 (KJV) it tells us “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.” Your beginning may have been a mess but your future can be glorious.
You see I speak from experience on “wasted years”. I was in bondage with a life threatening eating disorder for twenty years. One day in a church parking lot when I least expected it, God completely delivered me and I knew that I knew I was free. The enemy may have stolen the first half of my life but now on the second half, God has restored the years the locust have eaten. Out of that horrible pit, the Lord has birthed a national ministry, has blessed me to be able to record five CDs, many videos and write a devotional book. Not only that, the Lord has caused me to be healthier and stronger than I have ever been. While the devil was trying to kill me God was planning a way of escape and now people are being blessed by this beautiful ministry all across the country. Make no mistake Beloved, I am not bragging on myself I am bragging on my God! What He has done for me He can surely do for you.
